Shahana Munawar

Shahana Munawar is a Pakistani artist born in Hyderabad and currently based in Karachi. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the National College of Arts (NCA) in 2003.

Shahana's work encompasses various mediums, including painting, printmaking, and 3D-based practices. Her art often explores themes related to personal narratives and the female experience, creating a unique visual language that reflects her perspectives.

One of her notable projects is the "I Am You" community mural, a collaborative effort with multidisciplinary artist Munawar Ali Syed. This initiative emphasizes unity and shared human experiences.

In 2022, Shahana exhibited a series titled "A Dil e Nadaan…" at O Art Space. These works featured acrylic and fabric on fiberglass, showcasing her innovative approach to materials and form.
